What we believe and teach

MI Israel ministries

GOD The true ‘one and only’ God of the universe JEHOVAH revealed himself as the eternal, self-existent, self-revealed creator “I AM.” He is the only one and true God. He is the creator of mankind. He is loving, patient and merciful. He is also a God of wrath, vengeance and judgment (Deuteronomy 6:4-5, Mark 12:29, Isaiah 43:10-11, Matthew 28:19).

JESUS: He is the son of God who came through a virgin birth by the word of prophecy, gave up his life on the cross that mankind upon belief, repentance and acceptance  of him might be saved even as Jesus served as  a propitiation (Colossian 2:9, Romans 3:22, Colossians 1:15).

HOLYSPIRIT: The third person of the trinity-God in three manifestations. He is the promise of the father whose work is to comfort, reveal God’s will, intercede, and empower Christians with his fruits and gifts for effective service (Ephesians 1:12b,vs 13, Romans 826-27, Galatians 5:22-23).

MAN: Man was created at beginning as good and upright because God made right in his own image and after his likeness. But by Voluntary transgression and self-will, fell from grace, spirituality, love and obedience, hence subject to destruction. His hope of redemption is in Jesus Christ the son of God. (Genesis 1:26-31; 3:1-7, Romans 5:12-21).

THE BIBLE: The bible is the inspired word of God, full of truth and revelation from God to the human race; infallible rule of faith and conduct. It is superior to conscience and reason, but not contrary to reason (2 Timothy 3:15-16, 1 Peter 2:2). An imperative, upon study and meditation for successful Christian living which enhances growth in faith and all round prosperity (Acts 20:32, Joshua 1:8, Psalm 1:1-3).

GRACE OF GOD: The grace of God which brings salvation has appeared to all men, through the preaching of repentance toward God and faith in Jesus Christ. Man is saved by the washing of the blood and regeneration, and renewal of the Holy Spirit; being freely justified through faith, he becomes an heir of God according to the hope of eternal life. With the inward evidence to the believer of his salvation is the direct witness of the spirit (Romans 8:16).The outward evidence of his salvation to all men is a life of righteousness and true holiness (Titus 2:11, Romans 10; 13-15, Luke 23:47, Titus 3:5-7).

FAITH: Faith as the only tool or device to communicate and receive from God.  Faith in the word of God and in his promises and what was accomplished on Calvary. Faith as the only option to receive justification, please God, have our prayers answers, overcome the world, receive miracles, healings, breakthroughs, success and make exploits (Roman 1:17, Hebrew 11:6, Romans 5:1-2; 10:17, Matthew 15:28).

BAPTISM: The ordinance of baptism by burial with Christ (immersion) should be observed as commanded by the scriptures by all who have repented and in their hearts have truly believed in Christ as their savior and lord. Consequently, having the body washed in pure water as an ‘outward’ symbol of cleansing, while their heart has already been sprinkled with the blood of Jesus as an inner cleansing, evident to the world that they have died with Christ Jesus and they have been raised with him to walk in newness of life (Matthew 28:19, Romans 6:4, Acts 10:47-48; 20:21, Hebrew 10:22).

THE LORD’S SUPPER: The lord supper includes bread and the fruit of the vine which is the symbol expressing our sharing in the divine nature of our lord Jesus Christ (2 Peter 1:4), a memorial of his suffering and death for us who are genuinely born again (1Corinthians 11:26).It is enjoined on all believers to continually partake till Christ’s return.

HOLY GHOST BAPTISM: Every believer is entitled to the baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire and should persistently expect and earnestly seek the promise of the father according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. This was experienced by all in the early church. This baptism endues us with power for life and service, the bestowment of gifts and their uses in the work of ministry (Luke 24:29, Acts 1;4, vs. 8, 1Corithians 12:1-31).This wonderful experience is distinct from and subsequent to the experience of the new birth (Acts 10:44-46,11:14-16, 15:7-9).

SPEAKING IN TONGUES: In the baptism for believers with the holy ghost, a unique work of the holy ghost is made evident in speaking with other tongues as the spirit of God gives the utterance (Acts 2:4, 1 Corinthians 12:4-10, 28).

HOLINESS: The scripture teaches a life of holiness without which no man shall see the lord. It is only through the power of the Holy Ghost we are able to obey the command: “Be ye holy, for I am holy.”

FAMILY LIFE: High premium is placed on the success of the family life as a prerequisite for an effective and fruitful church. For the church consists of families. Hence, success in family life equals to success in the church. The Husband, wife, and children should value their family and ensure that they exist as a unified unit. Husbands are commanded to love their wives. While wives are commanded to submit to their husbands. In like manner, children are expected to obey their parents. Family members are expected to build faith, love, confidence, trust and protection of their family, thereby representing Christ effectively. It is not advisable for Jobs to separate spouses from each other. They are not to live permanently in different locations other than under one roof. Living together in the same house, room, sleeping on the same bed is highly recommended. A man was meant to leave and cleave to his wife, not to his job or friends. (Genesis 2:24-25, 1 Peter 3:1-7).

PRAYER AND FASTING: The power of prayer is an invaluable tool in resisting temptation. Through the auspices of prayer we seek God, destroy the works of darkness, build faith and preserve one’s soul. (Ephesians 6:12, James 5:16-18, Thessalonians 5:12, Philippians 4:6).

THE CHURCH: The church is the body of Christ, the habitation of God through the spirit with divine appointments for the fulfillment of the great commission. Each believer is expected to attend and be a part of the church. The believer born of the spirit is an integral part of the church of the first born which are written in heaven. The church ‘Ekklesia’ means ‘called out’ (Ephesians 1:22-23, 2:22, 6:18, Hebrew 12:33).

MINISTRY: A divinely called and spiritually ordained ministry has been provided by Jesus Christ our lord for a two-fold purpose: Evangelization of the world and the edification of the body of Christ (Mark 16:15-20, Ephesians 4:11-13).

DELIVERANCE: Deliverance from sickness, curses, poverty, demonic attacks and satanic strongholds is provided for in the atonement and is the privilege of all believers (Isaiah 3:4-5, Matthew 8:16-17, Galatians 3:13).

PROSPERITY: It is the will of God that we prosper spiritually, financially, emotionally etc. However, this must be obtainable through godly and scripturally ordained ways.

SEXUAL PURITY: The bible condemns all forms of sexual impurity, perversion or illegal consummation. Homosexuality, lesbianism and other forms of perversion is not tolerated in the body of Christ.

Young and old females should keep their body pure and free from immorality and indecent dressing. Single ladies are to keep their bodies pure and pray earnestly for God to connect them to their rightful partners, while they work earnestly to develop themselves and being the right ‘help’ to their would be husbands.

Young men are to train themselves to becoming a faithful, mature and caring fathers and with any form of sustainable income, should get married instead of bringing shame to Christ through immoral living.

For married people, immorality is a no go area. You are not expected to confess it let alone living in it. Adultery and immorality desecrates conscience, breaks relationship with God and spouse, bringing shame to Christ (1Thessalaonians 4:3, 1 Corinthians 10 :8, 7:9, 7:2, 1 timothy 1:14, 6:18,6:13-20, 6:9, Hebrew 12:6).

RAPTURE: The hope   of all believers is to meet with the lord Jesus Christ in glory. Rapture is the event that describes the catching up of the church from the earth to meet the lord in the air. It involves only the faithful in Christ’s churches.

TRIBULATION: This refers to the suffering of believers on the account of their faith in God or their strong believe in the word of God. It comes from the world. After the rapture of the saints, there will be a period of great tribulation for all the saints who MISSED the rapture. This tribulation will be so severe. The period marks a time of severe suffering and persecution on the saints after which Christ will return (Mathew 13:2, 24:15, Revelation 7:14).

JESUS’ SECOND COMING: The scripture promises the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven, the salvation of the nation of Israel and the millennial reign of Christ on earth. This is the earnest expectation of the church and the hope of the saints (2 Thessalonians 1:17, Revelation 20:1-7, 19:11-14, Romans 11: 26-27).

RESURRECTION: This is the rising of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the lord. It is the imminent and blessed hope of the church (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17, Titus 2:12, Romans 8:23, 1 Corinthians 13:51-52).

KINGDOM OF HEAVEN: According to his promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness (2 Peter 3:13, Revelation 21:1-5).

HELL/ LAKE OF FIRE: This is a lake that burns with fire and brimstone. The devil and his angels, the beast ,false prophets, sinners and all whose names are not found written in the book of life shall  be consigned to everlasting punishment in hell which is the second death (Revelation 19:20, 20:10-15).
